[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish عجلةً (ʿaceleten),[1][2] from Arabic عَجَلَةً (ʕajalatan) adverbial accusative of عَجَلَة (ʕajala), from عَجِلَ (ʕajila, “to hurry”).[3]
