Pronunciation

[edit]Usage notes
[edit]- Although it is used without an article today, formerly it also occurred with the article az before újság (mi az újság),[1][2] which gave rise to the z found in present-day slang contractions.
- Mi? may function as a pronoun (with the past tense mi volt az újság?) or a determiner (with the past tense mi újság volt?).
