Etymology 2
[edit]Uncertain. May be an obscured diminutive from moukari with + -ska. First attested in the 1900s (decade).
The sense of the "card game" may be figurative use as a reference to how lyödä (“to hit, strike”) is also used to mean "to play (a card)".
