Ferris (Ph.D.) is Professor Emeritus at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina, where he taught graduate and post-graduate courses in theology, leadership, and education. Before joining the CIU faculty, he and his wife, Sue, served for twenty-one years as missionaries in the Philippines. There he taught theology at FEBIAS College of Bible and at Asian Theological Seminary. “Bob,” as he is known by friends, holds degrees from Wheaton College (B.A., Bible), Wheaton Graduate School (M.A., Theology), Denver Seminary (M.Div., Pastoral), and Michigan State University (Ph.D., Education). The Ferrises now live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They are very thankful for their two adult children, their children’s spouses, and their five grandchildren.ver menos
