'You don't order in?' - In this context, 'don't/do not' does not make sense. You need to use the future tense 'will not/won't.' You could use 'You don't order in?' if the context was something like:

Eddy: So you always cook? You don't (ever) order in?

A: Yeah, I do think that's sound natural.
I think it's because in
"Eddy did help me a lot today"
"A lot" functions as an adverb to "help".
But it would also be natural to say:
"Eddy did help me with a lot today"
but here, "a lot" functions more as a noun as in "a lot (of things)".

So if you want to say you help someone... noun, you should use "with".
He helped me with a lot of problems.
Please help me with this puzzle...

However, you can drop the "with" if you help someone... action, like:
Come over here and help me "clean this up" (action).
My father helped me "open my first business" (action).
