Antonio Valente Flowers on Instagram: "Foxglove in September?! Here’s how: ⁣ ⁣ 🌸 Start with first year flowering varieties. I recommend any of the varieties from the Dalmatian or Camelot series. My faves are ‘Dalmatian Peach’, ‘Dalmatian Cream’, and ‘Camelot Mix’. ⁣ ⁣ 🌸 Dalmatians and Camelots reliably bloom 4 months from sowing. ⁣ ⁣ 🌸 The foxglove featured here were sown early to mid May. And so, voila, 4 months later, we have foxglove blooming in early to mid September. ⁣ ⁣ 🌸 Stems were actually superior to those harvested earlier in the season. Why? September features cooler temps, and higher rainfall amounts, conditions which are favourable to growing foxglove."
