Fredericton Old Train Bridge

The first Bishop of the Cathedral was Bishop John Medley who arrive in Fredericton June 19, 1845 at the age of 40. When John arrive he immediately starting the planning for the construction of the new cathedral. The Catherdral was modeled after St. Mary’s Snettisham, Norfolk and even to this day the two cathedrals are very similar . The architectural style of these cathedrals is known as Revived Gothic.
