My new leg

Right below knee leather prosthesis (for double amputee) padded leather corset with ischial bearing. Jointed side steels to a well padded leather adjustable socket, (by means of a lace at the back). Side steels extend down the wooden shin to the ankle. Made by Haran in Paris c.1914.

For the individuals who have prostheses for more everyday uses, however, their substitution limbs should be capable adjust to various situations and play out an assortment of functions, not simply excel in one discipline – Prosthetic leg meaning just like an actual leg.
