Rosie | Heath and Sea | Handmade Pottery on Instagram: "Is this the most fun way to glaze pottery? For me it is. The key to great marbling is to pick your glazes carefully. I stick to using glazes that I know interact well and that I've fired to the same temperature with success. This helps limit the chance of pinholes and other imperfections. Once fired, these plates will hopefully be a nice mix of blues and whites. . . . #handmadepottery #glazingpottery #potteryglazing #potteryinspiration #potterylove #lovepottery #ceramics #ceramica #ceramicstudio #handmadeceramics" Mixing Glazes Ceramics, Sponge Glaze Ceramics, Slip Glazing Pottery, Piping Slip Ceramics, Using Tape To Glaze Pottery, Confetti Glaze Pottery, Drippy Glaze Ceramics, Marble Glaze Pottery, Marbled Clay Pottery

Twisted Clay on Instagram: "In October of last year, Ryan and I got the chance to go to a workshop with @moondobang and learn the Korean throwing technique. There were aspects that took me a minute to love as it was such a departure from the way I had been taught. There were also things I immediately loved. I must admit that since returning to my studio, I have continued to use much of the technique, but there are things that I have sort of mixed with my old way of throwing. One thing I love is the opening technique. I have a tendency to hyperextend my wrist when opening large forms and there have been times this has not served me well. The fact that he emphasized keeping your wrist straight when opening clay for throwing, really has helped me when throwing larger forms.
