You deserve to be surrounded by people who celebrate your growth, not people who are threatened by it. Insecure friends will unintentionally turn your progress into their own pain, measuring themselves against you and feeling left behind. This isn’t love; it’s a trap.

It is very common for a narcissist to gaslight a victim when he or she is becoming too powerful or threatening to them. Narcissists shame and police victims who stand up for themselves, who set boundaries, and dare to be visible and authentic. Narcissists would prefer you be quiet, compliant, and contort yourself for their comfort. Solution? Continue setting boundaries, slaying, expressing your authentic self, standing up for yourself, and removing toxic people from your life.
