In act 1 scene 7, when Macbeth is explaining to Lady Macbeth on how he himself cannot go through with the deed. As this would end his good image he has created. And we see these as he mentions “I have bought Golden opinions from all sorts of people, Which would be worn now in their newest gloss, Not cast aside so soon” This gives out the imagery of someone selling his soul to the devil. In this case of Macbeth trading his golden image and honors in quest to become King.
