Here’s how I made it (yields 9 cookies):
- 176g (slightly less than ~1 1/2 cup - 1 tsp depending on how you scoop the flour) flour
- 1 tsp corn starch
- 2g salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 8 tbsp butter (room temp)
- 67g (1/3 cup) sugar + 67g (1/3 cup) brown sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp ube (can increase to 2 tsp for more ube flavor but darker color)
- 60g (1/4 cup) ube halaya
- 1 egg
- 1/2 block of cream cheese (room temp)
- 25g sugar (for cream cheese)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1. Cream together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Form nine 12g balls/small balls of cream cheese. Freeze for 1 hr. There will be some cream cheese leftover.
2. Beat the butter with sugar, brown sugar, and salt. Mix in the ube extract, halaya, and Ube Cream Cheese, Ube Cookies, Ube Extract, Cream Cheese Cookie, Cheese Cookies Recipe, Ube Halaya, Cream Cheese Cookie Recipe, Cream Cheese Ball, Cookie Ball
