OBJETIVOS:

Aprendizaje del alfabeto

● Conocer los nombres de las letras del alfabeto en inglés.

● Identificar los diferentes sonidos con los que se nombran las letras en el alfabeto inglés
● Esclarecer dudas sobre el uso del Verbo To Be y su aplicación, utilizando el vocabulario
mencionado anteriormente.
● Revisar contenidos básicos del vocabulario del idioma inglés, relacionados con países y
nacionalidades, y ocupaciones.

PRESENTACIÓN: Estimado Estudiante en esta guía se desarrollarán diferentes actividades lúdicas y didácticas
que motiven y faciliten su aprendizaje del inglés, la temática a desarrollar es: The alphabet, countries and
nationalities, jobs and occupations, and Verb To Be. Con esta guía lograrán adquirir conocimientos para
expresarse sobre información personal que puedan necesitar en una presentación básica.

Podrán probarse en su nivel de lengua y evidenciar sus avances en el transcurso del desarrollo de la guía; en
este proceso usted es el principal protagonista y en mi rol docente estaré acompañándolo de manera
constante y dinámica, recuerde que yo soy su guía y que mi labor es darle todo el apoyo posible, nunca dude
en preguntarme, siempre estaré con la mejor disposición para solucionar sus dudas, y para que construyamos
el saber en equipo

THE ALPHABET
As you are becoming familiar with a different language, being able to recognize the different sounds that
English language employs is primordial to facilitate your learning. In the following activity, with the help of
your teacher, you will listen and practice the sounds that English language employs to name and pronounce
the letters of the alphabet. Pay special attention to the way they are pronounced and be attentive to those
changes that make English language different from Spanish.

The English Alphabet consists of 26 letters. Each letter has an uppercase ("capital letter") and a lowercase
("small letter") form. Here is an audio that will help you to follow the right pronunciation of the letters, click

PERSONAL PRONOUNS
1. Los pronombres son las palabras que utilizamos para referirnos a alguien o algo. Por ejemplo: yo, él, ella, tú
o usted, nosotros, ellos, ellas. En inglés este tipo de palabras se llaman Personal Pronouns.

2. Una vez haya aprendido y tenga en cuenta cuales son los pronombres personales, iremos a un tema
que para muchos es conocido: Verb to be. En esta lección aprenderá cuándo y cómo utilizarlo. El verbo
To be es de los pocos verbos que cambian dependiendo del pronombre con que se conjuga. En presente simple,
el verbo “to be” se conjuga así:

utiliza “to be” como verbo principal para mostrar el estado o las características de alguien o algo (adjectives). También
se puede utilizar para indicar el lugar donde algo está localizado (place) o de dónde es una persona (nationality), qué
profesión tiene (profession), la edad de la misma (Age) e incluso mencionar sus nombres (names).
 Examples:

● I am Juanita López. ● It is a bicycle.

Yo soy Juanita López. Eso es una bicicleta.
● We are in the park.
● You are an engineer. Nosotros estamos en el parque.
Tú eres un ingeniero.
● You are intelligent.
● He is ill. Ustedes son inteligentes.

● They are 30 years old.
● She is a funny person. Ellos tienen 30 años

DEFINITE AND INDEFINITE ARTICLES

In English there are three articles: a, an, and the. Articles are used before nouns or noun equivalents. The definite article
(the) is used before a noun to indicate that the identity of the noun is known to the reader. The indefinite article (a, an)
is used before a noun that is general or when its identity is not known. There are certain situations in which a noun takes
no article.
