FAQ
WHAT IS A FANZINE?A fanzine is a collaborative project made up of art and writing that is compiled into a book for other fans.
WHAT CONTENT WILL THIS ZINE COVER/CONTAIN?This zine will center around Etho related content, including his solo lets plays, Hermitcraft, The Life Series, other games and more. We will be accepting both artists and writers onto this project.
WHAT CONTENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED?This zine will be about the character/persona Etho portrays online only, and will NOT allow any RPF content, including anything that speculates about his identity, out of respect for Etho’s privacy. Of course, things that are mentioned in Etho’s videos and references to photos he has publicly and willingly shared (ex. his desk photo) are fine, but nothing more will be allowed.
WILL THIS ZINE FEATURE OTHER CCS/FRIENDS?Yes, we will allow other CCs to cameo in pieces, as long as the primary focus is on Etho. There will be no explicitly romantic shipping in the zine, with the exception of references to bits Etho has participated in. We will not be featuring Iskall85 in this project.
WILL THIS PROJECT BE PHYSICAL OR DIGITAL?This zine will be digital and the digital download will be free!
There may be a charity component depending on the interest check's results.
HOW MANY CONTRIBUTORS ARE YOU ACCEPTING?This will depend on both the interest check and application results. Currently the estimate is between 30-50 contributors.
WHAT MODS WILL YOU BE LOOKING FOR?This project will be looking for a writing mod, graphics mod, social media mod, and general/organization mods!

Jayce has been modding zines for the past 5 years, with some recent projects including the Treebark Zine and Mixtape: A Stray Kids Zine. He has experience leading multiple zine projects and has worked in most mod roles, though he focuses on art, graphics, and formatting.
MOD APP GUIDELINES
MOD EXPECTATIONSAll moderators will be tasked with performing general tasks like answering contributors questions, and are expected to be semi-active and communicate with the mod team as best as possible. Etho knowledge is, of course, highly valuable, but you don’t need to be a long-time or diehard Etho fan to apply as a mod for this project!
WHAT MODS WILL YOU BE LOOKING FOR?This project will be looking for a writing mod, graphics mod, social media mod, and general/organization mods!The graphics mod will assist in collecting assets and designing promotional graphics such as the contributor lineup for the zine.The writing mod will be responsible for assisting writers in the creation process and beta reading final written pieces.The general/organization mod will assist in keeping track of deadlines, contributors and check-ins, and general housekeeping in the discord.The social media mod will be responsible for monitoring/managing the tumblr and discord as well as checking and sending emails.
WHAT EXPERIENCE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?Mods should have some relevant experience to the position they’re applying for. For example, if you want to be a writing/beta mod, you should experience writing and betaing written works.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO APPLY?Applicants should be 16 or older by the time they're accepted onto the team.
DO YOU NEED ZINE EXPERIENCE TO APPLY?Nope! Zine experience is helpful as a mod, of course, but work ethic and dedication tend to be much more important in my experience. I ask for zine experience mainly to get an idea of where you’re starting from as a moderator and how much you know about the zine process already.
