Is BBQ Ena a school(the pre-genie talk halls and her appearance after getting eaten by that thing at the acme of the second island-thing) child in war times having a crazy dream having to build the bullets (I’m not doing what you say I’m doing with bullets falling from her hat) that kill more people and sell war from door to door but it’s all a facade (the talk gotten by going into the bathroom and talking to the genie after being not absolved of her sins and choosing to remove the smoke) to not die

Edit: also some of enas animations are based on YMO’s “Taiso” which is heavily referencing ラジオ体操(lit. radio calisthenics/exercise) which is a morning exercise/stretch regiment from the government for health reasons which is done in schools before classes like p.e. or events like sports days

Edit2: so radio taisō as a thing was started to commemorate the enthronement of the emperor in one way or another and, during war, the soldiers were to do radio taisō but were stopped from broadcasting because they were too militaristic in nature. Radio calisthenics were started in America and brought to Japan via an employee of one of Japan’s postal insurance companys
