@geekcat : Happy to see this AU revisited! If you're taking questions, I'm curious: what happened to Membrane and Gaz? Or did Dib just get separated from them? And does Dib try to find them?

Ever the observant parent, Membrane… 'lost track' of his son during one of their excursions on this newly discovered planet. However, he'll be sure to send out a search party… eventually.
Meanwhile, Dib himself doesn't go looking, but Miyuki and Spork do, just to make sure they aren't stealing a smeet from a caring parent. Spork looks extensively, but Miyuki… well, she searches in her own way.
