Ser Âmica on Instagram: "#Repost @fancyplantsclub If you water propagate your houseplants, I’m sure you’ve experienced a cutting falling out of place and maybe even submerging entirely. A ✨simple solution✨ that’s also really fun to make is an air dry clay flower frog. I was inspired by @woodlark making these for her flowers, and I immediately wanted to make one for my plant propagations. It’s also another way to repurpose these little glass jars from my favorite yogurt. Do you love easy DIYs for your plants? Save this to try! How to make them: * Roll clay out * Cut out a circle and use water to help smooth out edges with your fingers * Create the scalloped edge—this part is optional * Poke the holes— I used a large straw * Let it dry + seal with a waterproof glaze/varnish * Add pla

I bought this fiddle leaf fig 8 years ago. About two years ago it stopped growing. I thought it needed repotted. So I did that. Nothing. I was going to throw him away because he started dropping all his leaves. I figured he was dying. I cut him as a last ditch effort and I was shocked! In just a few weeks he started growing new leaves and those leaves keep growing and multiplying. The top I cut off got replanted and that one started growing new leaves too. It’s never been healthier. Mor...

Jen on Instagram: "Did you know this about dahlias? It's why my daughter calls them "surprise plants". Each tiny dahlia seed will create a NEW dahlia! Dahlias form tubers underground. If you plant a tuber, you'll get an exact clone of the mother plant. However, if you saved seeds from that very same plant- you will NOT get an exact clone. In fact- you really won't know what you're getting until that seedling blooms. How cool is that?! This isn't my first year planting dahlia seeds, however, it is my first year planting seeds that I've collected from MY garden. I'm so excited to see what comes of these seeds. By starting my seeds in a damp paper towel tucked inside of a ziplock bag, I'm creating the perfect environment for the seeds to germinate. This also allows me to see which seeds

Aishwarya Deepak on Instagram: "⬇️⬇️3 Granny Square bag Pattern! ⬇️⬇️ I have used DK mercerised cotton yarn in two shades. I have also mentioned the YouTube tutorials you can refer to for help. ▶️ 🧶I have crocheted 3 classic granny squares with 13 rounds. ▶️ Hopeful Turns 🧶After this I have made 2 rounds of single crochet all around in each square. ( One sc in each stitch and 1 sc, ch 2, 1 sc in the corner spaces) 🧶The lining is optional. I have a dedicated reel on how to add the lining on my page. You can find it in the "Basics!" Highlight. 🧶Fold the squares into triangles and align as shown. 🧶Join using slip stitch back loop only or any other technique that you're comfortable with.▶️ Crochet Oz Follow Part 2 for the handles. ✨Colour scheme: 1 round of colour A, 2 rounds of colour

Maryland Cottage Garden Design on Instagram: "Who doesn’t love a BOGO plant?! These clumping perennials spread as they grow. They naturalize to take up more square footage and/or allow you to divide them to create new clusters. Plus, a lot of them live for a really long time. Peonies, for instance, can outlive humans—easily growing for over 100 years. If you’re gardening on budget, these flowers are by far the best bang for your buck! I’ve also included varieties that easily self seed and multiply. Annabelle Rogers on Instagram: "3 is always the magic number and here are the 3 things that changed our garden from ordinary to extra ordinary… Developing the patio, adding the diptank and creating the outdoor kitchen. My 3 favourite spaces, all within a relatively small area (15ft x 20ft). These areas have added so much interest and have given the garden a feeling of warmth, character and personality. And to top it off, we planted a nursery of fruit trees, that will one day give us a compact orchard! For now it’s a space for relaxing, reminiscing and entertaining. #summervibes #beautifulgarden #garden #outdoorliving #stocktankpool #gardenideas #momentslikethese #patio #patiofurniture #beautyinsimplicity #patiogarden #apartmenttherapy #reelinstagram #natureinstagram #myhousethismonth #

Maryland Cottage Garden Design on Instagram: "A slower version of a post a couple weeks back to help you with your garden planning! It’s time to plan for spring planting, so I’m bringing back my favorite flower pairings. They never fail to yin and yang just right in the garden—or in a bouquet. 1. Yarrow and lavender 2. Peonies and foxglove 3. Iris and roses 4. Lamb’s ear and coreopsis 5. Echinacea and milkweed 6. Larkspur and hydrangea 7. Black eyed Susan and Daylily 8. Verbena bonariensis and daisies 9. Ninebark and bee balm 10. Hollyhocks and wild bergamot Regardless of your garden footprint, you always want to combine contrasting texture and size. So think puffy/fluffy, spiked, fuzzy, shiny, wispy, tall/short, evergreen/deciduous. To simplify, those sub categories fall into the over
