Planning for a Baby
The first time I saw Heather B. Moore was in a boutique baby store. I was pregnant and my husband and I were excitedly planning for our baby. I fell in love with the jewelry! After I had our daughter, and my first Mother’s Day was approaching, I poured over the catalogs to decide what I wanted on my first charm. Since then, I’ve gotten a Heather Moore piece each Mother’s Day to celebrate being a Mom to my daughter. I’ve also added a heart charm with my Grandmother’s Handwriting.
Remembering Loved Ones
My first charm was one to remember my grandma after she passed. I found her signature on an old birthday card and we made it into a custom stamp. The back says "don't forget the chips" because that was the last thing she said to me with an anchor because she always swore like a sailor. Then I added a "D" charm with a paw on the back for my dog nephew and an "H" constellation for me! I loved the addition of the purple amethysts because they add a pretty pop of color.
My Daughter, Husband, and Parents
My mom has loved her Heather B. Moore pieces for years. So, for my 35th and Mother’s Day this year, she suggested I start a collection of my own. It’s so special to have my daughter, my husband, and my parents around my neck! And it’s pretty cool my parents’ were able to personalize a charm with their signatures.
Love Joyce
The year 2020 is one to be remembered by all. My family, in particular, suffered a great loss this year. My grandmother, Joyce, passed away March 25 in the midst of a global pandemic. Grandma Joyce has been my biggest inspiration growing up. She became a registered nurse in 1953. She continued her career in the medical field as a physicians assistant, and as a parish nurse until 2010.
Easy and Hard Moments in Life
Some things in life are easy–I didn't have to look very far to find the love of my life, because I quite literally married the boy next door. Some things in life are hard–we struggled to create a family of our own. We were married for almost six years before we welcomed our twin girls and Eddie came along after another five years. Throughout our journey, my Heather Moore charms have helped to commemorate the events and people I cherish most in life. <3
