Some are picked because they do very well here (yarrow is a native and berries LOVE it here in the PNW) and others for how much I use them in design. I interplant these all in my cottage gardens with my focal flowers and then cut as I need them. This list isn’t exhaustive of course, but I turn to these over and over again in my bouquet design work as you can see from the different ones I included! A special note on raspberry foliage: this is my go-to foliage plant and has an incredible vase life! The Flower Farmer & The Florist on Instagram: "MY TOP 3 FOLIAGES you can grow in your garden. These three are my favourites and have proven to be foliage trees that keep on giving. Pittosporum || this foliage has lots of little petals in different shades of lime and green. Its the perfect filler for arrangements and the shape and colour create so much texture. Viburnum Tinus || I use this foliage to create a base to an arrangement or installation. Its strong stems and leaf is perfect for that purpose. Leptospermum || the prettiest plum and burgandy foliage. It adds warmth and unstructured touches to a bouquet. I love using this foliage in larger designs too! I would love to know what other foliages you love growing in your garden?
