10K views · 1.3K reactions | Our dining table was in bad shape. And I mean BAD. The finish on my Great Aunt’s 1930’s Duncan Phyfe table was rubbing off, and there were several hand-sanitizer bleach marks that we had unsuccessfully tried to color in with a stain marker. LOL.

With this being our everyday table—the table we do everything at, I hated that each time I wiped the table down, the wood stain came off with it. It never felt clean for everyday activities—much less to eat at. 🤢

The top is veneer and so for the longest time I didn’t think it could withstand being sanded down—I thought we’d sand right through to the substrate. But then I saw Meegan of @mia.interiors refinish her veneer table and decided to go for it.
