Cassandra Evans (Sunny) // Folk Living on Instagram: "Totally making little trees with this method, too! 🌲 I used hot glue to affix the stick to the pinecone, but I also tried melted beeswax and that worked well! Paired with this compostable glue would keep them 100% biodegradable and able to be returned to nature! Here’s what you’ll need to make one cup of glue: 1 1⁄2 cups (350 ml) water 2 tablespoons of corn syrup or honey 1 teaspoon (4.9 ml) of vinegar 2 tablespoons (15 g) of cornstarch 1. In a saucepan, stir together 3/4 C (180ml) water, syrup, and vinegar and bring to a boil. 2. Combine the cornstarch and remaining 3/4 C of water and then whisk into mixture. Return to a boil and continue cooking for 1 minute. 3. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in airtight container.
