Number Sense for #preschoolers is the ability to understand what numbers are all about. It is not only the ability to count. It is also about quantification - that all numbers correspond to an exact quantity of a set of objects and number representation - that a numerical symbol like 5 corresponds to a quantity as well. A strong foundation in number sense is important for success in math! Throw the dice, count the dots, add the Tomatoes to the tomato plant! Play again and again!

We made this pizza using some beige paper, paint and fresh vegetables. The idea of vegetable stamps has been taken from the "Nature Printing" book. Kids have lots of fun with them, and they are much easier to make than rubber stamps. Cut out a paper circle for the pizza base. Slice a tomato in half, paint the cut (we used gouache) and pring. Do the same with a bell pepper. ... and a mushroom. Experiment with other vegetables and tell me what you got :)
