DJ Hero 2 on FreeStyleGamesin kehittämä ja Activisionin julkaisema rytmipeli. Peli julkaistiin PlayStation 3:lle, Xbox 360:lle ja Wiille lokakuussa 2010. Peli on jatkoa DJ Herolle. DJ Hero -pelit pohjautuvat Guitar Hero -peleihin.
Peli sisältää 83 miksausta, jotka on tehty yli 100:sta kappaleesta. Saatavana on myös ladattavaa sisältöä. Useimmat miksauksista on tehnyt FreeStyleGamesin, mutta DJ-ammattilaiset, kuten David Guetta, Deadmau5, DJ Qbert, Tiësto ja RZA ovat tehneet miksauksia peliin ja antaneet ulkomuotonsa pelihahmoille.[1][2][3][4]
Vastaanotto
[muokkaa | muokkaa wikitekstiä]DJ Hero 2 sai hyvän vastaanoton kriitikoilta. Arvostelijoiden mukaan peliin oli tehty merkittäviä parannuksia verrattuna sen edeltäjäänsä. Kriitikot ylistivät uutta "freestyle"-toimintoa, koska edellisen pelin Flavor Flav sampleä oli liikakäytetty pelissä. Uusi moninpelitila otettiin myös lämpimästi vastaan, vaikkakin pelin laululisäys ei monen mielestä toiminnut hyvin. Chris Watters Gamespotista huomautti, että lauluosuudet on turhia ellei pelaaja tiedä laulun sanoja etukäteen molemmista mikseistä.[5] Matt Helgeson Game Informerista kommentoi: "Kahden kappaleen samaan aikaan laulaminen tuntuu kuin pelaisi karaoke-peliä sydänkohtauksen rajamailla"".[6]
