You stir awake as you hear footsteps coming from the hallway. You find this odd because your husband works overnight and never once comes home without leaving a text message, so you wouldn’t think anything of it. You recently moved into a new home with Bucky, your newlywed husband. You’d been dating since high school years ago.

And she has fun going shopping with her Papa—some days it’s for toys and books for her and Mr. Tato, other times it’s jewelry and art supplies for her mama.
The stylish toddler gets better service than any other shopper because the associates know she’s going to spend the stack of monies in her tiny rose pink Birkin. And when she’s burned through her monies, all she has to do is smile at her Papa and he’s putting his black card in her little palm.
Some of her favorite memories involve him carrying her through the store, indulgently smiling down at her as she points at items she needs. Her bright pink dress and ballet shoes clashing with his black on black suit.
His face stern and cold until he gazes at her, then those ice blue eyes melt as he agrees that yes you do need two more dinosaurs to go with the five already in your cart. No we don’t want them to be lonely, lets get all their friends.
