hey yall, this is going to be really long post, but i sincerely ask for your time since it’s very important for my country, Myanmar.

28.3.2025, Friday, 12:55 pm — a 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar which continued also towards Thailand, Laos, India, China, & Bangladesh.

the epicentre was around Mandalay (the second most populated city) and NayPyiTaw (the capital). It destroyed many buildings, apartments, schools, mosques, churches, & monasteries including our precious historical sites.

A huge amount of people are still trapped amongst the collapsed buildings. And, there have been 1700-2000 deaths confirmed & so many dead bodies are yet to be discovered. Since the temperature of Myanmar in summer averages around 100°f (37°C, some regions raging above 40°C), the dead bodies are already deceasing under the cluttered rubbles. The locals in Mandalay, NayPyiTaw, and SaGaing cities say that it’s stinking really horrible due to the bodies. Everyone in Mandalay city and the towns around its area, has to stay on the road since you don’t know when the earthquake would hit again. My worry is what if they get heatstroke since it’s really hot.

However, Thailand mostly received the most international attention bcuz we, Myanmar people, cannot speak out. We only have 4 hours of electricity a day, & there is no internet connection, which means, we can’t use some machineries to perform rescues. And since the country has been under a civil war for the past 70+ years, it’s really poor & doesn’t have certain emergency equipments. The only people we can rely on right now are the local recuse teams, Malaysian & Chinese recuse teams, & ourselves. Yesterday the Thaiwan recuse team was at the airport, ready for the help, but the military government didn’t let them in.

Like i said the country is under a civil war, the junta military is the evil one. They have been k1lling, detaining, & sh00ting youths since the 2021 the military coup. We peacefully protested for our rights yet they decided to use violence upon us. It resulted in a lot of young people fleeing the country, and thousands spending their time in prisons. The military leaders are also responsible for the g3noc1de of Rohingyas in 2016-2017. Now that a natural disaster like this happened, there is no youth strength to help rescue the people. The rebel territories in SaGaing area were reportedly helping the citizens then the military decided to air bomb them.

Our country has hit rock bottom and we are literally on a survival mood. So please share awareness about our country & please pray for us !!!!!!! 🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️
