From Someone who works with medical records -

RFK Jr. is stating he will make a list of everyone diagnosed with autism to research the cause. This is bad for obvious reasons.

But there are only 1 to 3 LEGAL ways to get medical records, especially ones of a mental health kind.

1.DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING FROM YOUR DOCTOR ALLOWING THE RELEASE OF MEDICAL RECORDS TO 3RD PARTIES FOR RESEARCH.

This will be in the form of a HIPAA release that you yourself must sign to give consent.

2. DO NOT SIGN A BLANKET RELEASE OF INFORMATION FROM YOUR INSURANCE.

This won't have any specified information to release to them or for them to release to someone else. If you have to have records for the insurance company, make sure they have the specific dates, locations, and if applicable, body part they are needing records for.

3. UNLESS A LOCAL JUDGE FOR YOUR STATE SIGNS A SUBPOENA OR COURT ORDER, YOU MUST SIGN A RELEASE FORM.

The only way around your consent is if RFK Jr. goes through the legal system and that is a HASSEL.

HIPAA is very strict and keeps us safe from malpractice and legal nonsense like this. I know the majority of people on here are not the targets of the 'autism must be cured' crusades, the people who have the highest support needs are the ones he's mainly after, but if you have family or friends that are severely disabled, this is how you help keep them safe.

Unfortunately, I am back to needing help. My spouse needs a bunch of dental work, which our insurance will only cover some of it, even though it's medically necessary. As well, we have to register our car and it's gonna be at least $350 from the estimate. Right now, for the first part of the dental work, we just need $640 dollars, so in total $990 would be everything we need.

Everyone notice how the Gaza spam bots are

Like, it’s similar usernames (name followed a number), but instead of asking “Please help my family in Gaza” peppered with a zillion emojis, it’s “Help with my mother’s surgery” or just a vague “I’m in desperate need of help” peppered with a zillion emojis.

I haven’t clicked on any of these blogs recently, so I don’t know if their blogs are still mentioning Gaza or not. I’m going to bet they don’t.

My guess is Staff figured out a way to block the Asks based on the identical formatting the scanners used, so the scammers are having to find a different way to scam.

Staff in general seem very tolerant of the pro-Palestinian messaging on this site. So this means that if they’re blocking these Asks, you can be reassured they are actually spam and not real people asking for help.

The same goes for the new format of scamming in comments and via @. Keep reporting these accounts. It’s working!

Yeah, the inbox spam has started up again, they have a new format now. Firstly, they're sending the messages on Anon, and they always end the message with an @. There's also always a prayer-hands speech bubble emoji combo.

I got the second Anon a total of NINE TIMES on three separate dates (April 2nd, 3rd, and 4th), which means it was copy-pasted and used on many separate accounts because I always block every single time I get one of these. I got the first one twice over two days.

IF these were real people using these as "templates", they'd at least change the fucking username, yeah?

Report these as spam and THEN block them, otherwise it won't stop.

You can’t anymore! Tumblr changed this quite some time ago: you MUST be logged in to send someone an Ask, even on anon.

So they’re trying to ban-evade… but they’re logged into an account while doing it.

i have blocked one of the accounts and they somehow managed to send me an anonymous message. are they using new accounts to send the messaging as I am to understand?

god I miss the old spam bots just to be annoyed by😭😂 mixed feelings on this issue between these scammers and the old bots.

Yup. This is my recommendation too: TURN OFF ANON. The newest wave of spam is entirely on Anon, so if you turn that off, you’ll cease getting them.
