“ Go into yourself. Find out the reason that commands you to write; see whether it has spread its roots into the very depths of your heart; confess to yourself whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write.
This most of all: ask yourself in the most silent hour of your night: must I write? Dig into yourself for a deep answer. And if this answer rings out in assent, if you meet this solemn question with a strong, simple “I must,” then build your life in accordance with this necessity; your whole life, even into its humblest and most indifferent hour, must become a sign and witness to this impulse. Then come close to Nature. Then, as if no one had ever tried before, try to say what you see and feel and love and lose… ”

“It was my fault. It was all my fault.” To Dr. Linda Martin from @dtchloedecker
IT WAS A RARITY that the infamous Detective Decker stepped into her office. Whenever she did, it never came as any surprise to her that it was usually something to do with Lucifer but there was something about Chloe’s tone in her abrupt entry into her office this time that caused Linda to offer a glance of concern. What exactly did she mean by ‘it was her fault’?
Linda gave the detective a moment to elaborate on the situation but when nothing came about, her lips parted and with it, she took an intake of air before pausing once again and blinking several times. She was used to this sort of thing with Lucifer, but never Chloe. It caused her to shake her head slightly as she still tried to wrap her mind around what was happening right now.
“ Detective Decker… Just what exactly is your fault? I cannot offer any advice or professional opinion without knowing further what you’re talking about. ” Had something happened between her and Lucifer? Had Chloe done something at work? She did not know what it was but she hoped that Chloe would soon give her some sort of answer.
@dtchloedecker A MEME FROM MANY MOONS AGO / NOT ACCEPTING.
Michael doesn't seem entirely too concerned as Gabriel directs her ire at them. In fact, all they do in return is stare at her before sighing and crossing their arms. "Do not worry about that, dear sister. You would not have harmed me." They wave their hand almost dismissively, leaning against the counter. "I do not appreciate the name calling, however."
Why is she so upset? Then again, Michael didn't really announce that they were dropping by, but why would they have to? "As for why I am here, well, I am doing something for our Father, but I figured I would come see you while I am around. You know I do not come to the mortal plane that often." They shrug, looking back over at the flour that they had accidentally knocked over with their wings.
"I can help you clean that up, if you wish."
“ The flour can wait. ”
GABRIEL WAS NEVER fond of her alone time being disrupted. Nor was she a fan of another coming into her home unannounced, even if that being was one of her siblings. She’d had to share lots of things in her existence, so her home was one of her few sanctuaries and something she felt that she could be selfish about. “ What bidding were you doing for Father? ”
Colour her intrigued. Especially at this hour. She knew Father had many tasks for all of them, but to send Michael out at what many deemed The Witching Hour, was a new one. Naturally, it made Gabriel question the urgency of it, but it was up to her sibling if they wished to divulge the matter further. “ You do realise what time it is though, yes? — You know… the hours most are sleeping. ” While she only napped, herself, having no real need for sleep, she did not want her neighbours thinking that she was having uninvited guests or wild parties.
