Despite what many pregnant women are told birth prep does not mean kegels! The pelvic floor does not push your baby out during labor-it needs to release and move out of the way! So as we prep for birth we want to make sure we are not only able to access all levels of the pelvis and make space, but we really want to focus on lengthening/relaxing/and releasing tension in our pelvic floor. You can start birth prep at anytime but especially during the third trimester!

Have been living off quick dumbbell workouts at home the past three weeks as I have been super sick + dealing with some health issues and could not be more grateful for them. Nothing makes me feel better then just getting a little movement in when I’m up for it-turns my whole day around and reminds me of how strong + powerful I am! I hope some of these silly tips + tricks help you with these movements and get you a nasty lil glute pump! Here is the quick full workout: 3 x 8 dumbbell squats 4 x 10 RDLs + 8 single leg (or B-stance) RDLs 3 x 12 glute bridges (feet slightly farther out, push through heels) 4 x 8 drop lunge each leg! Which makes it even more of a reason to prove to ourselves…we can! If you’re struggling with split squats some tweaks you can make: doing them stationary on the ground or a lower platform, holding onto something to stabilize yourself, making sure your knee isn’t caving in/pelvis is facing forward, not standing too close to the bench, and hinging at the hips creating a forward lean sitting BACK into your glutes. If you’re struggling with an injury or unable to do them: single-leg leg press can be a great alternative for you!❤️ #gymtips"

No it’s my baby flyin out of me so here’s a relaxing birth prep workout you can do at HOME🏡  No unfortunately that is not how labor goes lmao but what we can do is make sure we incorporate movements that help support our baby’s position and help open up each level of the pelvis so baby can more easily navigate through-we want these movements to be accessible for our body during labor which is why we prioritize them during pregnancy! It was the year I finally set the boundary with my past toxic relationship that I was never coming back. That I was done begging, I was done not seeing my worth, I was done chasing someone who didn’t care to be caught.
