This song's title in English, Russian and French is a reference to Space Oddity.

Kapp'n sang this tune in his song on the boat in Animal Forest+, but it was changed in later versions. Animal Forest+ was released in 2001 whereas future remakes with a different song released in 2002 and 2003, hence the name "Marine Song 2001". This song is present in the theme playing in the cab in Wild World. Kapp'n also whistles it on the bus in City Folk and on the boat to Tortimer Island in New Leaf.
