I know, i know we’re a week into #mermay and i haven’t done a post!! I’ve been working on my All Hail Fairytales illustrations and luckily we have a few mermaids in the book. This one is Mami Wata and she’s known to be a mermaid-esque figure with a snake tail who collects mirrors and combs and is a protector of mothers (in some stories) 🧜‍♀️
