Here are examples of different ways to teach students how to solve two-digit and three-digit addition problems. These are great strategies for multi-digit addition. What a great anchor chart!

Using the count on strategy for +0, +1, +2 and +3 facts and being able to apply it to the turnarounds wipes out 64 of the 100 basic addition facts. That only leaves 36 facts, all of which fall under the use doubles or make a ten clusters. Teach these 3 strategies for both addition and subtraction to develop the required fluencies of the CCSS for K-2.
