Not defending myself quotes

I used to rush to defend myself against false accusations but now I watch to see who believes it, so I know who to cut off first.

Ever since I was child I worried about what people said or thought of me. I couldn’t stand when someone said or believed something about me that wasn’t true. So, guess what?! I’ve lived a life of constantly defending myself, constantly trying to prove myself. I’m talking clean up until about a week ago. I WILL not put up with those who think they are better than me, mistreat me, slander or pass gossip about me. Times have changed. I will cut off ties with those who are toxic to my wellbeing and I have the right to my feelings and will defend myself and my family against anyone who hurts us. Don’t like the consequences? Then don’t mistreat people.

Please, don’t ever defend your character. Just go.
