Whilst many a Hollywood depiction of a Viking has them brandishing a sword or an axe, these fierce early medieval warriors were skillful in the use of a bow and arrow. A weapon of choice both on the battlefield and in the woods, a bow and arrow were a valuable part of any Viking arsenal.

I’ve been doing quite a bit of research on Vikingr (maybe too much), mainly about their clothings, armors and weapons. And I can see why artists took many liberties when designing Vikings, especially thier battle gears, because real Viking ( atleast according to archeology findings) looks kinda unappealing. That’s why I tried my best to draw a line between what is consider as acceptable and just downright wrong (like the horn helmet) while designing Viking , still respect the historical…
