When it comes to movies I dislike or think are bad, I have to go through a multi-tiered system, including “entertainingly bad,” “boringly bad,” “bad but there was no reason to expect otherwise,” “bad in an offensive way,” “would be just be meh except for this one thing,” “I wouldn’t care except that everybody else loves this movie so I tried hard to love it and I just can’t,” “it made me feel upset but that was the director’s goal so am I being unfair here, because there are movies I love for making me upset, I don’t think I’m a total weenie baby but maybe I am”, the list goes on…
to be honest i got extremely annoyed when i see people express empathy for like. actual police dogs more than brown people because like the police using dogs at all is animal abuse but also the police is relying on people loving dogs to justify why they had to shoot that suspect they were hurting their doggie woggie :( (they kicked the dog away because it was gonna rip out their throat which it was trained to do)
the meme will forever be evergreen because you can replace “animal cruelty” with like. robot cruelty or vampire cruelty and it’d still be accurate unfortunately.

Scope, a UK based disability charity, outline the cuts and explain them here. This is kept up to date as things are discussed and changed by the government. They have a petition here.
Scope also offer advice and support for disabled people, and have a helpline for this. More information here.
Sense, another UK based disability charity, have a template to email your local MP. This is available here, and can be customised to add your personal story and why you’re worried about the cuts. They email it on your behalf, so you don’t need to worry about finding their email address and emailing it yourself, you just fill in the form! If you can, please share this with friends and family! The more people email their MPs, the more impact it will have. Support from Sense is available on their website.
