When we were walking to the Alphonse Mucha exhibit at the Phillips Gallery in DC, I said to my husband: “Ya know, Mucha has been a huge influence on Japanese pop cultural art like manga and video games,” but I definitely did not expect to see two original pieces by Yoshitaka Amano (天野喜孝)!
