Henry Wilson
Cuma
Bhí Sir Henry Wilson, an Chéad Baronet, GCB, DSO (5 Bealtaine 1864 – 22 Meitheamh 1922) i gceannas ar an arm Briotanach i rith an Chéad Chogadh Domhanda agus an Marascail Machaire.
Ar 22 Meitheamh 1922, scaoileadh marbh Wilson, ar leac a dhorais féin i lár Londain.[1] Bhí Wilson ina chomhairleoir slándála do Phríomh-Aire Tuaisceart Éireann, James Craig ag an am céanna.
Mar thoradh, chuir Rialtas na Breataine brú ar an gCoileánach ionsaí a dhéanamh ar na Ceithre Cúirteanna.[2] Bhí David Lloyd George den tuairim gur poblachtánaigh frith-Chonartha ba chúis leis an marú.[3]
Crochadh na dúnmharfóirí Reginald Dunne agus Joseph O'Sullivan ar 10 Lúnasa 1922.[4]
