  • I don't understand the "nobody helped me so nobody deserves help" attitude. I'm sorry but every time I suffer an injustice my first thought is, "something should be organized to prevent this!"

Why wouldn't you want that?? It might be you again sometime. Don't you want to help build a world where we take care of each other?

  • "Okay, I support your transition, but did you have to choose such a BASIC whiteboy name-" That's transphobic btw. You're not funny, you're making your trans friend feel unwelcome.

"I support your gender, but I don't support you calling yourself GERTRUDE-" Transphobic. And just assholish. You're a bad friend/family member/coworker/whatever to this person if you say that.

"It's fine if you're nonbinary, but that does NOT mean you have to make your name fucking SOCKS-" Surprise surprise, it's transphobic even when you think they're weird! I shouldn't have had to tell you that.

No, it doesn't mean that you don't support transgender people as a whole. You likely aren't a transphobic person. But yes, it's a transphobic action.

Someone is expressing a part of themselves to you and being vulnerable. For many trans people, their name is closely tied to their identity and gender. So, yeah, being weird about a trans person's name isn't cutesy and funny, you're a fucking dick. Like that's also mean to do to a cis person with a weird name wtf? Don't be mean? It's literally so easy

  • I'm gonna be real with you, i don't think weirdo kinksters should be considered acceptable collateral damage when banks/credit card companies enforce adult content bans on sites like patreon and ko-fi

  • "sure it's just the weirdo fetishists getting hit now but soon they'll try to censor normal queer people!!!" you should care about the fact the 'weirdo fetishists' also lost their livelihoods too

  • idk who needs to hear this but if you have been putting something off bc it doesn't need to be done until the end of the month. we are almost done with the teens we are approaching the big numbers (the twenties). that date shall dawn upon you swiftly and without mercy before you know it. psa for everyone except me i got plany off time

  • I’m just saying if Daniel Radcliffe, the literal protagonist of the Harry Potter franchise since the age of ten years old, was able to disavow JK Rowling and move on from the HP universe then actually what the fuck is anyone else’s excuse. There is no one else on the planet who can say their entire childhood was HP more than that guy and he still cared about trans people more than the average tumblr user who says “we’re protesting by making all her characters queer and trans!!” like you can do better. You should do better.

  • agonizing over all the time you wasted or lost is useless. it’s gone now. you survived in the only way you knew how. doesn’t your survival deserve some recognition too?

  • like toni morrison said, “sometimes you don't survive whole, you just survive in part. but the grandeur of life is that attempt. it’s not about that solution. it is about being as fearless as one can, and behaving as beautifully as one can, under completely impossible circumstances.”

  • Cis men have this complete disconnect and disbelief towards the evil men do which is so at odds with the reality we live in. The Man of the Year trend where women post a highly audacious abusive message or voice note a man sent them is highlighting this. Dudes in the comments are like “Where are you finding these guys? I’ve never met a guy like that in my life.” You haven’t? You’ve never once met an unhinged dude who threatened to beat you up over something petty? You didn’t have any friends growing up who had terrible fathers? You’ve never had a coworker or an acquaintance who spoke about how his wife pisses him off so badly he wants ‘to beat the shit out of her sometimes’? Even if you swear up and down it’s not you and it’s not your friends, you have to have met a guy like that. You know you have. They’re everywhere.
