About bifurcator limbs…
Stellate bifurcators have smooth straight limbs that terminate in points, while coralline bifurcators have irregularly shaped and curved limbs that end bluntly.
As for the limb lengths and limb spacing, this happens mostly randomly.
Limb length differences may affect how easily a bifurcator can get around depending on how different the limbs are and if they can simply stand on a set of limbs not including the differing limb.
Equidistance is also a factor. Bifurcators with limbs spaced apart equally can roll around and are also often seen as attractive, while bifurcators with perhaps most of their limbs on one side with large gaps will have to walk normally.
However, aside from that, it doesn’t affect much.
