referencing natlangs for polysynthesis is so hard. ubykh? yeah nah thats dead. ainu? no one bothers to study it. almost every north american language? dead or almost dead, except navajo which is less dead and quite successful for a polysynthetic language which is defined by “the speakers are not dead yet”, and thats so different from my conlang its like “dog” appearing in that one australian language and comparing it to english

then i look at the history and its all because of columbus and the soviet union murdering everyone i hear french is becoming synthetic or something anyone have a police box?

When people criticize the fetishization of MLM, a frequent defense both is saying that it's not like other fetishization of minorities because "It has no real world effect, it'd just women enjoying fiction, why are you policing what women can enjoy?" And what I have to say to that is that is factually incorrect. A quick google search reveals stories of women harrassing gay men because they feel a sense of entitlement and believe they cannot cause real harm, (an interlinked phenomena with gay men harrassing women for similar reasons). When looking at these stories, it becomes clear that the fetishization of gay men isn't just online or fictional behaviour that doesn't affect people, it unsurprisingly has the same objectifying and dehumanizing effects as fetishization against any other group and must therefore be treated with the same level of seriousness.

its always dehumanization women can like yaoi all they want real life dehumanization is the issue

Anonymous asked:

I think additionally people who powerjacket trans men try to define cis gay men who face heavy marginalization for being feminine out of existence by placing them into a "really basically a trans woman who doesn't get it yet" category.

Like there's this really misogynistic and anti-transmasculine idea that anyone who exhibits feminine qualities or willfully chooses to express themselves femininely must be a woman. It's gender essentialist. So they view the "oppressive" gay men as bears and "respectable" gay politicians and view soft feminine twinks as undiscovered trans women who need "help". (I think people would benefit from reading Nevada by Imogen Binnie)

Also ignoring that many trans men choose to express ourselves femininely willfully and that lines up much more with masculine gay femininity than it does with cis woman femininity. They think a feminine trans man is getting ready to detransition and a feminine gay man is getting ready to transition basically, which is obviously homophobic and transphobic.

unfortunately radical feminism is homophobic and transphobic

I know most people don't care about anything unless it has to do with the U.S. but can we please start talking about the Canadian election.

Please don't vote for Poilievre. He's basically the Canadian Trump and plans to put in place laws that harm trans youth, and lots of other shit.

Please vote istg this is the only way anything will get better. Poilievre has been kissing millionaires and billionaires asses. He'll make life even harder, and he loves Trump.

Reblogs are appreciated, especially if you aren't Canadian.

Attention all Stampy fans!

Every video from the Wonder Quest Channel has been removed.

An archive has been set up, and the person running it is in the process of reuploading the videos. I loved this series as a kid. It can't just disappear.

i tried rewatching stampys lovely world a whole ago, and unfortunately i no longer enjoy it. ive just aged out of the target audience. however i also recognize that its actually pretty good. theres a loose story, theres themes of friendship, losing friendship, and death. seeing the portrayal of loss of a pet, even if virtual, helped me understand how to cope when my cat died. youtube for kids is terrible quality, but i think stampy made a rare exception
