This isn't a real objection so much as a quibble that's in my head and I thought I'd mention.

I don't like the use of the word "professional" here, this is isn't a professional setting, and I don't like the idea that industry gets to set the standards for everything else. It feels like part of making industry the primary driver of everything.

I wish this said: "welcoming collaborative community setting" or similar.

I don't really have relevant examples of differences in expected conduct, so the value in using a standard text outweighs the cost of getting into making changes.
