Describe the request

#419 was closed as "declined," which I take to mean it won't be implemented.

When I'm trying to clean up warnings in code, it's nice to be able to force-recompile a file that compiled successfully.

Only cumbersome ways to do this exist.

I second that!

I just fiddled with a library version (replacing files with a file manager) and got some weird compilation errors.
Removing the object files fixed the issue.
That is really annoying and would wreck a project for most users...
