What is your suggestion?

One-line script to install the binary and move to path, or install from a package

Why do you want this feature?

Faster time to first workspace

Are there any workarounds to get this functionality today?

Plenty, such as docker-compose or downloading the binary yourself. Related #1554

Are you interested in submitting a PR for this?

Yes. Some work already exists in the installscript branch

When this is complete add it to the repo README.md at the tippity top and also further down with more explanation.
