Write documentation for the resource metadata feature added in #2989.

Definition of Done

We should have have docs that explain:

  • The motivation and example use cases for the feature
  • Template syntax for defining metadata
  • How to retrieve metadata through the UI and CLI

We should also edit the secrets docs to demonstrate sensitive values.
