This epic entails a refactor targeted for mid-to-late April 2022 that refactors the codebase into our conventions. We couldn't have done it sooner, because the conventions WIP. We want to do this together during the April off-site in order to minimize conflict and make review easier.

Note: There is no assignee for an epic and we all generally oversee this kind of thing.
