I would merge this first, and add the experiment right after to avoid running BE CI tasks on those changes and make the process slower.

I tested locally that the experiment is set up properly. I'm no frontend expert so I'm not going to review the frontend code. Since the feature is behind an experiment and it's not going to affect regular users I think it's fine to merge so we can start dogfooding.
