In #651 (comment), @myitcv suggested that the circle.yml list of packages to test might be better maintained as an exclusion list.

I agree, that might be better because it becomes more easy to see what packages are not supported, which is a much shorter list than the supported packages.

We should investigate this and see if it's possible to improve things.

I'll also mention that we have multiple lists of supported packages that vary slightly:

We might want to improve coherency/consistency between them, if viable/possible.

Might also be worth making the test "script" an actual script so that things can easily be run locally too.
