Feedback

As per the issue here ... examples for how to get energy consumption from Edimax plugs no longer work - they will not work until 53311 is addressed and, since the issue is open +2 years then it is probably likely that it will never be addressed. To avoid people spending time puzzled as to why it doesn't work the web page should ideally state this and link directly to 53311.

The link under home-assistant/core#53311 in your issue description is https://github.com/home-assistant/home-assistant.io/issues/url so doesn't work.

Does https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/edimax/#power-consumption-sensor work under any config?

the link address stated was correct but the underlying link to #53311 was indeed wrong, I now fixed the link in the original entry.

and, no, the power consumption sensor does not work under any config - first #53311 needs to be addressed.
Hence the request to update the docs to prevent others going down the same rabbit hole, thanks!

This issue is still relevant - the docs need updating to remove the examples of how to get power consumption as they no longer work.
