We switched to plausible https://views.scientific-python.org/matplotlib.org, which is documented in https://matplotlib.org/devdocs/devel/document.html#analytics

Ooops, yes sorry I forgot about that/didn't realize it'd kill GA.
In February we went through and replaced the old GA trackers with plausible on our old docs.
