Addresses one issue brought up by @WeatherGod in #4967

@jenshnielsen No worries, it makes me happy to be fixing 2/3 issues this direction!

I think part of getting the community switch over to 3 en-mass is that the developers have to start working in 3 full time and supporting 2 because we have to, not the other way around.

Yes, I guess I should have done some more tests but anyway I will merge this now
