I am having this issue again, out of 10 attempts it only succeeded once, and it looks like it is not getting a reply, same as before ?!

I have not changed any other code, and this has been running successfully for a couple of years.

Hang on, I just reverted back, and still have the same issue, I believe this is a network issue, so closing.

Clear the buffer byte between ATB and FTB

This ensures it has a known start state. An unknown state risks it
looking like a tail block similar to the problem fixed by micropython#5245.
